Powershell and VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
Everyone that works with VMWare and Powershell is aware of the PowerCLI plugin (if you don't, start googling now!). However, PowerCLI doesn't offer any commandlets currently for interacting with with the Site Recovery Manager product. A few months ago I started work on automating SRM and ended up publishing the module which can be found here PSVMSrm. As you'll see from the home page, the module works through talking to the Axis 2 web service on the SRM server. Unfortunately, there's a few memory issues with the WSDL that ships with SRM so I've included a working version of the WSDL file for you to use.
Alan Renouf over at Virtu-Al is referencing this work in his up coming book VMware vSphere PowerCLI Reference: Automating vSphere Administration available for pre-order at Amazon. Go out and buy it!
